InTab Developer tools that run in your browser tab
InTab is a browser-based toolkit for developers. It runs and debugs code, formats and validates data, converts files, compares files and .env configs, sends API requests, draws architecture diagrams, searches a bundled ServiceNow API reference, and answers coding questions through AI models you connect with your own key.
It is free to use. There is no account, no sign-up and no login screen: open the page and the tools are ready.

9 tools in one app, all free and all in the same tab. Each name opens that tool.
- Agents
Stream AI answers from top models with your own API key.
- Compiler
Run JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL and Lua in a sandbox, and preview HTML.
- Formatters
Prettify and validate JSON and XML with inline error locations.
- Converter
Convert images, documents, spreadsheets, data and archives without uploading them.
- Diff Check
Compare files side-by-side or inline with whitespace controls.
- Comparators
Audit .env files, JSON, and text lists for missing, extra and changed keys.
- API Tester
Send REST, GraphQL, and WebSocket requests directly from your tab.

Google Drive access
InTab uses Google Drive for one optional feature, Cloud Sync, which carries your InTab workspace between browsers and devices. It is off until you connect a drive in Settings → Cloud Sync. Nothing else in InTab uses your Google account, and InTab has no “Sign in with Google”. Cloud Sync can use Microsoft OneDrive instead, with the equivalent app-folder permission.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdataInTab does not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. InTab’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- What InTab can access
- Only a hidden app-data folder in your Drive that holds InTab’s own file. InTab cannot see, open or list any other file in your Drive. When you connect, it also reads your Drive account’s email address and account id, to label the connection and to derive the default encryption key.
- What it stores there
- One file,
intab-sync.json: an encrypted snapshot of the parts you choose to sync. Those are your workspace and files, your API Tester data, and your Agents conversations and settings, which include your AI provider API keys, GitHub token and MCP server tokens. All three are on when you connect, and you can turn each one off. - Why InTab asks for it
- InTab has no accounts and no server storage, so your own drive is the only place a synced copy can live (you can also export a backup file from Settings). Without Cloud Sync, InTab sends nothing to Google Drive.
- How it is protected
- The snapshot is encrypted with AES-256-GCM in your browser before upload. By default the key is derived from a constant in InTab’s public app code plus your Google account id. This protects against casual reading of the file, but it is not equivalent to end-to-end encryption with a secret only you hold. The file goes directly between your browser and Google; connecting and refreshing access pass through InTab’s stateless server function, which stores nothing.
- How to disconnect and revoke
- In Settings → Cloud Sync, choose Disconnect, then Disconnect & Delete Cloud Copy to delete the file and revoke InTab’s access; if either step fails (for example while offline), remove InTab in your Google Account permissions as below. Keep Cloud Copy only disconnects this browser: it does not revoke access or delete the file. You can revoke access yourself at any time in your Google Account permissions.
Where your data goes
The short version. The privacy policy covers every data flow and provider in detail.
The tools do their work in the page
The compiler, formatters, converter, diff, comparators and API reference work inside your browser; code you run in the Compiler runs in a sandbox. Every tool also has optional AI actions: when you click one, it sends the content it names (for example both sides of a comparison, .env values included) to the AI provider you chose.
Some features reach the network when you use them
Agent prompts go to the AI provider you choose, with your own key. If a direct request fails at the network level, it is retried through InTab’s relay, which forwards it and keeps no copy. Agent web search and page rendering go through InTab’s server functions, and the agent’s browser workspace runs on StackBlitz WebContainers.
GitHub, if you connect it
Connecting GitHub lets the agent read your repositories and, when you ask it to, create branches, push commits and open pull requests.
Your data is stored in this browser
Your work is kept in this browser’s storage. Files, conversations, AI keys, the GitHub token and API Tester credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, under a key derived from a value in the app’s code and a value stored on this device, which stops casual reading but not someone with access to your browser profile. Some data is stored unencrypted, including the agent’s repository working copies, environment values you give the agent, the converter queue and non-secret API Tester fields. InTab has no user database and no copy of your work on its servers.
No analytics, no ads, no InTab cookies
InTab has no analytics, advertising or session-recording scripts and sets no cookies of its own. The site is served through Cloudflare and Vercel, fonts load from Google Fonts, and InTab’s server functions hold your IP address in memory briefly for rate limiting.
